Rainbow Haven - About Us

Raınbow Haven - providing support through its drop-in sessions to excluded and disadvantaged communitiesSince 2004 Rainbow Haven has welcomed people new to the UK, providing support through its drop-in sessions to excluded and disadvantaged communities, with a focus on services for asylum seekers, refugees and migrant workers including Roma communities.

Rainbow Haven aims to provide a welcoming and supportive drop-in where new arrivals can get their immediate and longer term needs met. We have a small staff team, supplemented by a team of volunteers from various backgrounds and by students on placement with us. We work closely in partnership with other agencies to increase the variety of services and activities we can provide at the drop-ins and to enable us to make effective referrals for people needing greater levels of expertise and support.

Rainbow Haven’s drop-in service operates in Gorton on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and in Salford on Wednesdays. As well as providing information, support and activities, Rainbow Haven acts as a communal space for new arrivals, settled migrant groups, local residents and other service providers, where social networks and mutual support can develop to sustain people seeking to settle into new lives in the UK.

We welcome visitors to the drop-ins and are keen to discuss opportunities for new people to get involved in our work. Please phone 0161 370 3472 if you would like to know more.
